733 Squadron recruits cadets from several Newcastle localities including Kingston Park, Kenton, Fawdon, Ponteland, Darras Hall and other surrounding areas. Cadets can join from the ages of 13-17 and can remain as cadets until their 20th birthday.
733 Squadron has one of the best records in the area of cadets earning Duke of Edinburgh's Awards and is actively involved in Flying, Gliding, Shooting, Sport, Fieldcraft and many other training activities. We meet every Monday and Friday evening and there are many opportunities to go on weekend activities as well as week-long camps to RAF stations.
The Air Cadets is not a recruiting organisation for the RAF, however being in the cadets will give you valuable experience if you choose to join any of the Armed Forces or a variety of other civilian careers.
