to my lovely Affinity girls, what a ball we had in Torquay? we came fourth to some really great choirs and had the best time, saw Can-Can dancers show their assets, watched numerous good choirs and the sun shone on us, what more could you ask? I'm so proud of you all, the competition was good, but you shone with your diversity and charisma, go AFFINITY!

I can't quite believe that it's 12 months ago since we won the first ever barbershop class at The North Wales Choral festival, we were half the size we are now and only six months old, a huge acheivement in itself, how far we have come in such short time. So off we go this weekend to defend our North Wales Barbershop chorus title, and no matter what the result I love sharing the stage with such wonderful singers and more than that beautiful people, Les and Girls good luck, hold your heads high and be proud, we will be fantastic! x

We had a great time at the wonderful Dale Divas rehearsal last Thursday, they're over 60 strong now, and a real force to be reckoned with. To Affinity girls, I just want to say what a great job you did at the North Wales choral Festival this weekend, and how incredibly proud I am to be directing such a great group of women. You make me feel like we can take on the whole world and come out smiling. Fantastic job!

The three choir workshop on saturday 30th July was a huge success and so much fun. Affinity with sister chorus Milltown Sound from Golborne and Yours in harmony who travelled all the way from Torquay all met for a day packed full of singing and socialising, all three groups learned two new songs and enjoyed performing and singing for each other, showcasing so much wonderful talent. We followed the workshop with a fantastic party with yes you guessed it, more singing!! and lots of bopping to our very own disco Dj Dave, a fine way to end a super duper day. Thanks to all the organisers, the three Directors Lesley, keith and Jen and their teams and to all our family and friends who are always on hand to help and support us. Lets do it again soon!!

"AFFINITY SHOW CHOIR" The winners of the barbershop class at the International Eisteddfod, would like to congratulate the charming and accomplished ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY CHOIR, OF THE PHILLIPINES, on winning the coveted Pavorotti trophy and becoming 2011 "CHOIR OF THE WORLD"!!!, It was an honour to share the stage with such great choirs, have a fantastic year!
To my girls, Thank you AFFINITY for providing me with one of the most defining moments of my musical career, you have made me the very proudest director, and if I could hug each and every one of you now, and tell you how much you all mean to me and my Tone-acity family, I'd probably crush the breath out of you all. Thank you for the gorgeous "star" breacelet, and most of all, THANKS FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP!
AFFINITY is delighted with our win, and thanks to all our fabulous supporters, (who stayed out of the beer tents to hold handbags, etc.) our lovely GOLDEN GREEN coach driver Gaz. Thanks also Keith, Rob, Linda Lippicott and Linda Keever our guest coaches, and the audience for the many congratulations (and varied opinions) on our performance.

Affinity is now one year old! We are going to celebrate with a birthday bash, when we compete at the International Eisteddfod July 9th. Affinity just had it's first A.G.M, and it has to be a record! The steering committee, headed by MR Ashley Baker, chair, had given their reports, and new committee posts were voted on and filled in under an hour, is that a record??.
That's how keen these ladies are to sing, nothing but NOTHING, is going to get in the way of these ladies rehearsals. The Affinity Show Choir will be one year old in June, watch out for our celebrations!

Thanks Margaret for your kind review, I'm so pleased you enjoyed the choir, we loved singing for you, and want to say how much we all enjoyed Sioned Terry, who has the most lovely and lyrical voice, we are thrilled to have been involved in the event. We also want to thank our coach driver was joining in with us on the trip home, (after he got us safely out of the snow storm). I honestly didn't know what to expect when I was bought a ticket for this charity concert. I was quite frankly blown away by your performance, the talented Sioned Terry is amazing and beautiful, your choir is also amazing, talented and beautiful and I really enjoyed your clever singing and watching you all having so much fun. Thank you for braving the snow blizzards in Towyn, you got our Christmas of to a perfect start.

The "AFFINITY SHOW CHORUS" has just won the FIRST prize in the FIRST barbershop class to be held at the NORTH WALES CHORAL FESTIVAL in LLandudno, on their very "FIRST" attempt at competition,
HOW GOOD IS THAT???????????

Congratulation girls, I hope it's the start of a fantastic journey for this sexy young choir! the barbershop adjudicator said "AFFINITY HAD DONE BARBERSHOP GREAT CREDIT WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE"
and the quartet showcased in the finale slot "Tone-acity" were top class!

The choral adjudicators were thrilled by their energy.

WE CAN STILL USE GREAT YOUNG SINGERS AND DANCERS, ARE YOU UP FOR IT??

All I can say is this is the best thing I have ever done, the group is welcoming and I love the fact that they don't just stand around and sing, they really get into the songs and enjoy it. I enjoy it so much and really look forward to my thursday night rehearsal, I can't wait until we can go to competitions. I'm only in my late thirties but why didn't I find this earlier, better late than never!

I expected this to be an amateurish show, as I understood this choir formed 3 months ago, wow, how wrong could I be? If this is a new group, imagine what they'll achieve in the future? The leader was so very confident and quite inspiring, and such lovely young women. I sing with a male voice choir but can I join? Fantastic girls!

What a fantastic group of girls, I watched them on Friday night at a charity concert, they were amazing, full of life and energy that really shines through. They are a really inspiring group who can only get better. They entertaining & I really enjoyed listening to them, even think I might join they look to have so much fun.

I went to this event held at the Methodist Church in Disley on Friday 17th September and had a lovely surprise as my sister (Amanda) walked on as part of the choir............much to her famiy's surprise! We were all amazed as we didnt know she had joined, however more surprised with the fact that they were all new members and had only rehearsed and been together for 15 weeks. They were fantastic! They were so good and sounded so proffessional! Really enjoyed!

What can we say!!! we are completely blown away at the standard this group of women are already at. Affinity was formed only three months ago and has already given it's first public performance. Not only did they Wow the audience, they showed skill, composure, elegance and professionalism. Lesley, Tone-acity and the team are so impressed and proud of you amazing ladies!!!
