Hi there and welcome to Lancashire Weekend Walkers - the group offering a breath of fresh air. We're a friendly group of walkers, mostly in our 30s to 50s that enjoy a variety of walks ranging from easy rambles to energetic mountain hikes. As the name suggests our walks and activities are at the weekend to fit in with busy lifestlyes. However we also organise mid-week evening walks in the summer plus weekends away camping & youth hostelling and social events including meals out, theatre visits, pub meets and lots more.
New members, whether experienced walkers or just starting out are very welcome to come on a few walks before joining as a member.
For more information about the group please email sarah.matthews123@virginmedia.com or Tel 01772 314367

New Member Nights
Come along to one our monthly pub meets held from 8.00pm. It’s a great chance to meet both existing and other new members, and to find out more about forthcoming events. We are usually easy to spot - just look out for the group sign and walks programmes on the tables. Our next meets are on Tues 15th May 2012 at the Walton Fox, Bamber Bridge, Preston. Alternatively, just come along to one of our walks.
Transport &; Meeting Points
For day walks we normally travel by car but are happy to share transport wherever possible to minimise petrol, pollution and car park spaces. Passengers are requested to offer making a contribution towards the driver’s petrol costs. If you are interested in car sharing then you are normally best to email the walk leader in advance. Walks normally depart from the start point between 10.00am and 10.15am.
