What are your 2 favourite activities? At Come Play we like sport and socialising. However, perhaps like you, we are bored of the gym and want to have more fun with our fitness.
Nothing seemed to exist....... so we have introduced Come Play.
A relaxed multi sports league for people who like trying new things, and although there is an element of casual comeptitiveness, we play games that are designed for all abilities and above all to be sociable.
So whats Come Play all about?
1) Our first priority is having fun. While we offer different skill levels in most of our sports, the focus is always on having a good time. We take our fun seriously around here. Anyone can play!...Let us rephrase that, anyone over 18 can play! Most of our members are in their 20’s and 30’s but there is no age cap. All athletic abilities are welcome too.
2) You can sign up as a full team or as an individual. Registering as a team means you get to play with your friends every week. Signing up as an individual means we’ll place you on a team of other individual players. It’s a great way to meet new people. You can also request to play with any friends that also register as individuals.
3) Where our my games going to be? We have venues all over London, and we are growing fast – most of our players work in or near the city so to make it easier for you most of our venues are pretty central. All kit and equipment is provided at each venue.
4) There no annual membership fees. You simply pay for the programs you play. Cost for a 14 week season (including play-offs) is at a introductoy rate of £75 for individuals and £800 for teams. This works out at about £6 a game or less than half the amount of a normal gym membership!
5) You can have a free trial for the first week of the season. If you like it, great, join up if not nothing ventured nothing gained!
6) All Come Play leagues are mixed and the majority are self-officiated. We want you to be in charge of your sports and social club, therefore all games (apart from water polo) are self officiated with the captains being there to dispute any contentious decisions. I think you’ll probably realise pretty quickly though Come play isn’t about contentious decisions it’s about meting people, playing new sports and having fun!
7) How long are the seasons - We have a 13 week regular season and then a one week play-off to see who is crowned season champ! In order to make the leagues as experiential as possible most leagues include 2 different sports each for about 7 weeks, and then the play-offs. There are various other awards to be played for in our end of season bash including player of the year and most sociable team of the year.

8) All sport and no Play? - After each game there will be a Come Play designated pub where we will socialise after the games with generous drink discounts to help facilitate getting to know each other off the field!
(9) Community Spirit - At Come Play we are committed to helping promote sport in London and we are supported by the City of London in this initiative. We are also giving 10% of profits from Come Play to help develop sport in local communities within London.
