Welcome to Phoenix

Phoenix is a mixed-voice SATB group made up of people who really enjoy singing. If you sing in tune, in the bath, in the shower, while you are driving or walking the dog, this could be just right for you!

We sing a cappella arrangements in close four-part harmony, which we all obviously enjoy immensely. We meet once a week on Thursday from 8.00pm to 10.00pm in Skelmersdale and five of our current members, including the MD, enjoy it so much that they travel from outside the area to rehearse and also to enjoy one another’s company.

Phoenix has been going for just over 12 months and currently there are 15 members. Now we are aiming to increase the size of our group, so we are looking to recruit three more members – two Tenors and one Bass. You don't have to be able to read music as music files are provided, either on CD or for your mp3 player, and new songs are learned from these music files.
