This squadron has been arround for over 20 years and orginally started as the Rolls-Royce Sqadron before becomming 620 Duffield Squadron.
In May 2009 we moved to a large premises in Belper and changed our name to 620 Derwent Valley Squadron.
We accept new mebers from the age of 13 onwards and offer many differnt activites, some of which are listed below:
Flying (Up to solo standard)
Gliding (Up to solo standard)
Sports (Up to National Level)
RAF Work Experience
BTEC Public Services
BTEC Aviation Studies
Parachuting, Parcsending, International Air Cadet Exchange, Oversees Camps, Orienteering, RAF Station Visits...... and much more!
There is something here for everybody no matter what ability they have, all we ask for is a good attitude and high levels of effort and comittment.
For those who do their best, the rewards can be high, in the past we have given our best cadets a flight in a Hawk Fighter Aircarft and oversees exchange to canada.
Our subscription fees are £10 per month but this is not payable until basic training has been achieved. Camps and some other activites may have a cost but this is subsidised and very good value. Flying, Gliding and shooting are all free of charge!
If you are interested, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or drop in and see us on one of our meeting nights on a Tuesday or Thursday.
We look forward to seeing you!
