About Melksham Town Cricket Club
Melksham Town Cricket Club is a club based at Melksham House, Sports & Social Club.
We are situated in the grounds of this large sports/social club complex. Melksham Town CC has the use of Melksham Houses excellent facilities for after game entertainment and formal club activities (annual dinner/functions, AGM etc). During games a refurbished pavilion caters for all playing needs (changing, showers, teas etc).
The club fields 1st and 2nd XI's on Saturdays which play in the Wiltshire Cricket League.
In conjunction with the Institute of Groundsmen, the club has been the venue for Groundsmanship courses.
Each year a Kwik cricket tournament for all Melksham junior schools is held. It is well supported by teachers and parents, it has the backing of the County Cricket Development Officer. The boys and girls who all take part all enjoy themselves.
Pre season indoor Nets are held each year, normally during March and early April.
Our main activity is Cricket.
