About Forfar Dramatic Society
Forfar Dramatic Society was formed in 1930. The society produce two main stage production each year - in May and november. Main stage productions are performed in the Drama Studio, Lochside Leisure Centre, Forfar. In February we perform a double bill of two one-act plays in our clubroom studio for invited members and guests. this is an opportunity for first time directors or for members to try out their technical skills. Occasionally one of these plays will be entered into the annual SCDA one-act play festival. We also run a successful Youth theatre. We meet on a Tuesday night and when rehearsing a play a second weekly rehearsal is the norm. Our fees are an annual subscription, currently £25. We also run several fundraising events throughout the year. Currently we have around 15 - 20 active members.
Our activities include : Amateur Dramatics and Theatre.
