Wheelchair rugby was created in Canada in the late 70's for tetraplegics as an alternative to wheelchair basketball. Marauders as we are known was the first clubs in this country in 1983 and it is the only team sport both men and women play together. It give disabled people a great life socially and with different tournaments around the world gives you a chance to travel and meet many people from near and far. We have all levels of player from those wanting to just stay fit and active to those wanting to play for their country at elite level. Even though we are a voluntary club we do have a membership policy that you will become fully aware of. Our club has a great friendly bunch of people that are there to help you in any way, not only in the sport but any advise about anything so come along and take a look.
