We are a small, friendly target shooting club serving the Wirral, Cheshire, North Wales and Merseyside region. We try hard to be family friendly.
We shoot at Sealand Military ranges about twice a month, depending on military requirements.
We also shoot twice a month at the Geoffrey Place indoor range in Parkgate, and on occasional clay shoots in the area.
We have been enjoying our sport for over thirty years, and we believe our sport should be about enjoyment, sportsmanship and friendship. We do not subscribe to the "winning at all costs" principle.
We know the laws relating to firearms are complex and confusing, but please don't be put off; we can help if you are interested in the sport and would like to try it - just contact us through our website contact page at http://psa.bizhosting.com/contact.html .
Thanks for visiting !

Phoenix Shooters Association UK Members Thoughts
by Mike On 8th Mar 2012
Amazing!
We've been on the "Clubbz" site for over a year now.
by Graham Gibbs On 3rd Oct 2011
My preference is rifle shooting in the wilds of North Wales with challenging small targets in variable weather. The formalised shooting at PSA offers excellent opportunities for deveoping new skills in a really safe but friendly atmosphere with fellow shooter of many ages.
Best club and people I've ever been associated with.
by Jamie On 3rd May 2011
Having just completed the required three month probationary period, I'm more that happy to comment on how good this club is.
I've been a shooter since the age of 14 and over the years tried many different disciplines but never really settled on one. I had become very disheartend in recent years with all the red tape and bad press that seems to surround shooting these days, and was considering throwing in the towel. I joined 'another' local club before here that didn't really fit what I was looking for. That didn't help!
When I came to Phoenix I was happy to find many different disciplines under one roof, everyone is happy and willing to talk to you, the atmosphere is great. It's revived my interest and I hope this review encourages others.
Great club, A*. If you are thinking about joining a club in the Chester/Cheshire area then don't bother looking elsewhere.

The club is the members and that is what makes it so good. Every one takes their share of the work load and without this selfless attitude it would not be the club that it is today. Thanks to all and keep up the good shooting.

I have been fortunate enough to shoot rifle, pistol, black powder and clays with clubs across the country (not very well, but I have), and I am very pleased to be a long standing member of the PSA. Every time I am able to attend a PSA event, I know that it will be most enjoyable, hassle free and most importantly, safe. Great company and a great club. Many thanks.

I came to the sport of shooting late in life and went to Phoenix in 2007 to "try it out". Was made to feel very welcome from the outset. Members not cliquey - always willing to help, explain, show. teach. Was shown how to shoot safely from the off. Able to use a variety of club guns so you don't have to own your own - air rifles, black powder, small rimfire and large centrefire. (If you don't know the difference between rimfire and centrefire - come to the club and ask to be shown and have a go). It isn't expensive and there are so many different aspects of shooting sports that there should be something for everyone to enjoy. And that is why we do it - because it's fun. If you enjoy a challenge, that is catered for as well in the various competitions you can take part in if you wish. I am now proud to be able to say I am a member of the PSA!

A fine example of excellence, in target shooting sports can be had on visiting (by arrangement), for yourself, contact through the Phoenix club web pages.
by Rob Benyon On 11th Feb 2011
I have been shooting with Phoenix for about 7 years now. Taken so many youngsters and adults down to a shoot to try their hand at target shooting, and absolutely everyone is made welcome by such a friendly club. If you have ever thought you would quite like to try target shooting, get in touch. Some guns are easier to use than others, but people are always willing to help. So what are you waiting for, get in touch and give it a go!

I have been a member, off and on, for 30yrs. The PSA is simply one of the friendliest shooting clubs out there. Mike and Mary Eveleigh devote far too much of their time ensuring that we have a great club with matching facilities. Contact them for Detai

Phoenix is a freindly place to learn about and enjoy shooting. If youve ever wanted to shoot you should review our website and arrange to come along to a shoot.
by Mike Davies On 17th Jan 2011
Phoenix is probably one of the safest and friendliest shooting clubs in the North West of England, it has been my pleasure to be a member for more than 10 years, the success of the club is due directly to the efforts of Mike & Mary Eveleigh. Long may they continue.
by Mike On 17th Jan 2011
I've been a member of Phoenix for over 30 years now, and I've seen massive changes during that time.
We listen to members to try to keep the club as we all want it, without becoming stale or bureaucratic.
We will try to provide anything that members want to improve the service if it is within our power, legal, financially viable and helpful.
Personally, I think PSA is amongst the best, if not THE best shooting club in the area - but then I would say that, wouldn't I !
by Keith Read-Duff On 17th Jan 2011
As a long time member of Phoenix Shooters Association (PSA) I can speak with some authority on the club. It is a club that welcomes all potential member no matter what their experience in shooting, or their prefered type of shhoting ie; Rifle full bore & small bore, Black powder,& clay shooting. If you are a novice shooter you will be trained in the safe use of firearms
