About Bideford Folk Club

Founded in 1995 - we meet every thursday - everyone welcome to sing a song, lead a tune, read a poem - anything goes or just join in choruses. We are essentially a traditional folk club but enjoy and encourage all sorts of music. Many local very successful performers have sung here first and we encourage everyone to have a go. We have about 6 or 7 guest nights a year with national & international folk artistes booked. There is no membership fee and our current policy is to take a collection towards the cost of booking guests so there are no entrance fees even on guest nights. For the past ten years we have organised an annual group trip for a long weekend at a youth hostel where we have a wonderful time eating drinking and playing music

Our activities include : Singing, Music Groups and Poetry.
