The Frickley Boxing Academy

Today The Frickley Boxing Academy has been awarded 900.00 pounds from Wakefield Grass Roots to help buy new equipment.

The Frickley Boxing Academy is looking for new trainers / coaches and volunteers who are genuine interested in helping to build and promote the Academy for the future. If you can offer your time for FREE and are interested in working with youths from the age of 13 years to young adults. World muay thai champ Andy Howson will be coming to the Academy on August 29th 2010. To do a training seminar. He will also be bringing his title belts to show us all. You can check Andy out on " Youtube Andy Howson " He is a master at Thai fighting...

Mr. Joseph Loftus has received his  Muay Thai Kickboxin " Red Kruang Ruang " Instructor's Certificate from WKA The World Kickboxing Association. And the Academy will be offering FREE grading examinations under the reputable WKA rules and regulations. The Frickley Boxing Academy is registered with WKA The World Kickboxing Association full details can be found on their web-page.

The Frickley Academy is pleased to tell all its members that the new  " Frickley Boxing Academy " Logo has been designed and registered with the Academy for sole use. This Logo will appear on all training wear.

Hi update news....The annual Christmas Party will be held on Saturday 18th December 2010. It is a private Disco and Buffet for members to invite friends and family to come alone and enjoy the evening. Venue to be booked.

The Frickley Boxing Academy is the " ONLY " club who help to equipe its new members out with a basic training kit which covers Muay Thai boxing shorts-hand-wraps and groin guards. The photograph is of afew lads showing the kit off. Although we are a non-profit making establishment we understand that some of our members come from families who cannot aford to pay out on club training gear. So we try and help.

A thank you letter was written in The Hemsworth And South Elmsall Express paper dated: Thursday 13th May 2010. The Frickley Boxing Academy was donated 100.00 pounds from Graham West Chairman of Hemsworth town council to help buy skipping ropes shorts and t-shirts for the club. May 2010

The lads from The Frickley Boxing Academy ( South Elmsall ) Who did a full monty charity calendar in aid of cancer in July 2005.

The lads from both Frickley Boxing Academys South Elmsall &; Hemsworth donated a number of food hampers to the local Salvation Army ( Bush Street )  The Salvation Army donated the hampers on to the local community old people and homeless. Local MP Jon Trickett and chairman Graham West of Hemsworth town council watched the handing over of the food hampers. Full details can be found on MP JON TRICKETTS web page.

I would like to thank  all the lads who took part in "The Frickley Boxing Academy 4 mile charity run for Hep for Heroes. Around PONTEFRACT race course. Well done fellas it was a very hot Saturday morning. Thanks for your support. We raised 550.00 pounds.
