Park Players - Theatre For Youth
About Park Players - Theatre For Youth
Park Players is a theatre group for young people of secondary school age, run by young people.
It was reestablished in 2005 after almost 10 years absence. A group of friends decided that while there were other theatre groups in the local area, many were very exclusive and very expensive. It was decided to reestablish Park Players, with the aim to make it availible to all those who wished to participate. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and we donate a large percentage of our profits to charities chosen by our members, in addition to fundraising through singing during the festive season in aid of Quarriers. Last year, we returned to Castle Toward outdoor activity centre for our second rehearsal weekend.
We have just finished staging our winter pantomime (Mother Goose) and plan to stage our next show in early August. If you're interested in joining us, please see our website or Facebook/bebo page for more details!
Our activities include : Amateur Dramatics, Dancing and Singing.
